Fun Morning Ballooning @ Dirnaseer

Flew for 1 hour 40 minutes this morning. Wind from 180 2.5 knots at low level to 80 at 12 knots @ 500 feet. Spent most of the time below 200 feet. Fast over the hills, over 20 knots. The crops look the best they have for over a decade. Last good year here was 1999. Limited landing sites, due to the large amount of crop. Weather for tommorrow morning is also looking like it will be excellent. The new diesel Outback is a good retrieve vechile. Cope with the hills with a trailer on well. Also uses… Continue

I got my Ballooning Magazine today... the editor's column posed a question that I want to ask all of you... Who (or what) inspired your love of flying?


As for me, I'd have to say that I really do think I was born with this need to be above the world flying (go figure with a name like mine!) I remember my very first flight of any kind... I was 18 or 19 months old and my parents took me and my very new to the world little brother on a plane ride to visit relatives in Virginia.
