Our Hotair Balloon tracker is for last month or two in beta version .. about 10-15 pilots is testing it around the world. As we all are balloonists, we know that weather is sometimes not cooperating with us :) so it took us little longer as planned.
Be sure to check this forum later to see what's new.
Thank you

Permalink Reply by Steve Mitchell on June 11, 2011 at 4:40am Hi Gregor,
Finally got a flight in the other morning and the program seemed to work great. I really love the wind direction recordings at different altitudes. Seemed to be dead on when I looked back at it and checked it with my recorded track on my laptop. Is there a feature where you can look at different parts of the track after the flight to determine coordinates at certain areas, for example take off and landing coordinates after the track has been saved? Also, is there a way to clear the altitude, speed, long, lat, etc window when you're looking at a saved track. The window blocks most of the phone's viewing area and it would just be a little more convenient if I could temporarily close that window when looking at a saved track. Otherwise, no complaints from me.... everything seemed to work great. I'm really looking forward to being able to try this with the crew for tracking purposes once the program is on the market. I think you've got a great start on a very useful app/tool here. I'll try to play with it more as I get more flights in. For now though... great job!

How is the App going and when will it be able to get a copy? Any chance of a Beta for testing?

Sorry it took me so long. In attachment is installation file of our Hotair Balloon tracker.
Application is fully working, i'm using it on every flight for past few month and found no bugs or whatsoever. Use it and install it (i use Astro manager), play around with it, take a look at settings, configure at your own wish.
Currently developing is stopped, but as far we came the result is working application. We have plans to develope it further as idea was at the beginning, but other things (this is coded in our spare time) don't let us to work on it at the moment.
Please, enjoy the application, if you're happy with it, post us feedback here and if you have any questions (regarding settings, not additional features as development is stopped at the moment) post them here.
regards
I tried the Balloon tracker.zip and it would not open! Any ideas?
