I am French and I just got my license. I was at school in the federation francaise balloon.

The school organizes courses of 1 week. It must be about 5 or 6 courses for the pilot certificate.

If you are under 25 years, the week costs less than 100 euros.

If you have more than 25 years is 660 euros / week.
