All things ballooning

I'm looking into getting an Aurora within the next few years, and I was wondering: As Aerostar is out of the balloon business, where can you get a 54-ish envelope without having to make it? I know HEAD doesn't get that small, unfortunately.

Lindstrand Makes a 60,maybe a 56. Firefly makes a 56.Cameron makes a 60 i believe.

Hope this is something like what you wanted to know.

I have always been curious about the Stumpf replacements. They look really cool.

Also Ultra Magic makes a 56K

Eric,

Look into National.  I believe the owners name is Phil Gray. He can make a 65K I believe thats pretty close in design to the Aerostar Aurora.  If you want a FAA certified balloon that is, but Casey is right also about Paul Stumpf, except those balloons are experimental if it matters to you.

National makes a 65k standard shape or a 60k racer. We are very affordably priced and several pilots who were flying Aerostar have switched to National once their envelopes are "retired".

I am a National dealer and would be happy to answer any questions you have about them

How much for a 90 over a 4.5 anyway?
A 90 with Nomex scoop and first 30" of throat, top half silicone is right at $16,000
cameron has a N type at 56 is this close?
Stumpf balloons makes those and they reasonable too...

Hi Eric,

I just found on the website www.balloons4sale.eu , a new UltraMagic H-42 ( built in 1996 )  0 hours flown, only 2 or 3 inflations. Possibility for attaching banners to envelope.

It's owner is Pieter Kooistra from Holland... here is the link to the site of the UltraMagic H-42:
