Hi Andy, Thanks that you like my modelballoon :)
Yes it has a paracute in the envelope, but it is just for difflation, It is completly round with velcro ( diffirent then a cute in the big balloons ) My modelballoon " Smile High " has a volume of +/- 80m³ and I ame now bizzy building a 20m³ evelope for a model"cloudhopper"balloon :)
I was crew for the T-Rex balloon at the festival in Olen this year, I had contacted Ernest Lee ho is the owner of the balloon now and askt him iff I could crew for hem and it was OK. It is whrealy a great balloon, It is beautifull special shape!!!

Do you work for Lindstrand Hot Air Balloons?
Is Lindstrand Balloons Ltd. the same as Lindstrand Technologies? I have seen on the sites that they are at the same building and adress? But I don't know how it works? Lindstrand Hot Air Balloons is still building hot air balloons wright? ( I hope so, the modelballoon that I fly "Smile High" is based on a Lindstrand type )
Greetz,
Tom

Hi Andy. Yep that would be Arnaud. I used his software in the design of my two balloons. He was very helpful and his software is great. tells you almost everything you need to know.

its a great shape that he produces, similar to a HEAD balloon. very smooth. My 35 is much cleaner lines as it is more gores than the 69k.

Glad to hear he is showing off my workmanship for me :)

Hi Andy, this year I do not that mutch meetings with my modelballoon, because I am very bizzy at my work :( but if there is a chance to do a festival/meeting I do it... I am now working on a 20m³ evelope for a cloudhopper, it is going to become a Raven/Aerostar type and Im goining to put a rip top in that balloon ( like the early Raven type balloons )
Does Lindstrand Balloons also built balloons with Diamond Wave nylon from Aerostar? Because I so on the internet that Lindstrand USA is building it's balloons now with Diamond Wave in partnership with AEROSTAR... Do you at Lindstrand UK also juse Diamond Wave?

I asked another member on this site Keith Sproul: Here is his answer:
The balloon with the small round vent is a CUSTOM 9 DESIGN. It is a 140 or bigger. (Their 100k envelope has a normal parachute.) The big round vent, which most of would think would be a parachute is a VELCRO rip panel. The small round vent is an actual parachute vent.

most balloon only have one vent up at the top. This company (Custom 9 Design) is the only one that I know of that does it this way. You use the small parachute to vent to descend, and you only pull the big one when you have landed and are ready to deflate the balloon.
