Bret, you're right that there isn't much of a weight difference for the difference in size. The ride company's balloons I fly are 4.9s and my personal basket right now is a 3.9. I actually lay it down on one of the short sides instead of the longer…
actually i had a 3.9 1st, and since i am not 5'6 and 135 pounds, i got rid of it and got the 4.9. i had to go to the chiropractor after i flew every time from tweaking my neck and back trying to inflate it. a 3.9 was definitely not for me, and since…
3.9 basket would've been a better choice, but I guess you know that, I can't belive know one has bought that, man that is a fair price! what do people expect for you to give it away? I bet you've got some really insulting offers, i'd bet ! Hope you…
no, i am not talking about racers, you honestly dont think burners have advanced since the 70s? maybe it was the pilots i crewed for back then, but i dont recall targets being pepperred the way they are now back at the nationals when they were here.…
i agree about the old days, it isnt the same now for sure. compared to back then and now though it isnt the laptops or gps that makes the difference, it is the equipment.
ps if you have a map on board you are doing the same thing somone with a gps…
Nope, I haven't come across a steal yet. Also had a few expenses over the last month or so that may cause a delay. Some day though...... By the way, I never got a chance to compliment you on the new system, looks great! Good luck in BC, hopefully the weather treats us well.
Thats great. I don't fault you on going with Lindstrand, it should give you a chance to have some fun. Phil and Lisa make a nice balloon. Obviously I like Camerons better but hey we're all friends! Did you buy from Jeremy?
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and you can get some flights in before Battle Creek. I had darn few last year before BC with the flood and all. I think the flights we had in BC doubled my hours to that point last year. I am really hoping we have a more normal spring.
Congrats on the new envelope. I guess I should have sent you that quote. You kind of talked me out of it because you didn't think you would be buying new. Oh well. Hope the new envelope works out well for you. Will you have it by Battle Creek?
Haha, what?!? You can't just give it away? But yea, I'll definately let you know if I save up some more money. Looks like you've got a great system that you care about and take care of. My dad and brother have a 2005 TBW AX77 that we bought new and it's been a great system to share around Battle Creek. TBW fabrics have really shown that they can last a long time if you take care of them as ours has about 250TT on it now and flies like we bought it yesterday. Now that I've moved down to the Columbus, Ohio area I thought I'd be worth looking for my first system, and one that is familiar to what I trained on wouldnt be such a bad deal.
