About Me:

My wife and I got into this wonderful sport 2 years ago and jumped in with both feet. I was trained by a couple of wonderful pilots who allowed me to develop my piloting skills gradually. Combining their experience into my own I was able to attain my Private Certification on 7/12/07, my 41st birthday.
Since then we have flown many flights with friends, family, co workers and crew. We do this strictly as a hobby and love blowing our money on it along with my childrens small inheritance....
I fly with a great group of guys and gals who are involved with the group known as the Black Sheep Squadron. We all take care of each other and do as one. We love to see anyone who chases us where we fly and especially enjoy having the children get a close look at the balloons. We allow them to get in with us so their parents can take pictures and always get them involved when we take the balloons down.
We will be seen throughout the North East and Canada at various balloons festivals and do our own Black Sheep Flyoff during the week of the Adirondack Balloon Festival. Eventually the organizers of that event will allow our group to fly in our local festival but until then we will continue to do our own thing that particular weekend.
We love meeting all of you when we get the opportunity at any rally so please do not be shy and say hi.

The Carried Away For Linda Tour

I am dedicating the rest of our Festival Tour to my mother, Linda, who passed away this past Thursday after a two and a half year long battle with cancer. My mother loved to come out and watch us fly and loved seeing our pictures and videos that we took and made over the past couple of years.
The Carried Away Balloon Team will be rolling out the Carried Away For Linda Tour starting this coming weekend at the Mid Hudson Festival in Poughkeepsie, NY. The remaining tour dates are below:

Thanks for the response. That sounds like a perfect set-up then. There have been a few times lately where we've stayed on the ground because of a lack of sufficient hands. Our 105 doesn't fit in the back of a truck very well, so we use a trailer. However, only one of our crew will pull a trailer, so needless to say, that has kept me on the ground. That size balloon that you have is ideal for those days when all you have is a driver. Hey, if it gets you in the air on days when using the 90 would keep you on the ground, then it's worth it!
