Who makes the best and quietest burners?

Ever noticed that senior balloonist have never even heard of this site and don't seem interested in joining?

It is my understanding that they still have the 300 degree red line with the MaxFlite.
I personally don't worry too much about fabric being too heavy, and I have a pick up truck with no liftgate. It would take some pretty heavy fabric to outweigh the basket which you've also got to get in and out of the truck so I don't see an extra...

I do not have the lightweight fabric in my balloon it's all 1.9 oz. The top half with the silicon coating is not slick. It is his normal 1.9 oz rip stop nylon fabric with a silicon rather than a polyurethane coating. There is no real differe...
I think in the near future I will be investing in a Tommy Lift for the truck, so that should help negate some of the weight issues. My folks never got one but talked about it forever, now dad's got back problems. Hopefully I'll last a little longe...

43 and I have crewed several times and am currently pursuing my pilots license LTA, and have a firefly 77, and I'd like to buy complete system 90-105 in the future, I really enjoy ballooning and wished I'd gotten involved 20 years ago, it's just fantastic, the greatest experience of my life, I'm obsessed with winning converts, I don't want the sport to die, I intend to energize it.

- hello dennis, just sent you an email about the heat tapes/covers. When I refueled yesterday at a retail location, I paid $1.94 a gal.. those around here who have their own tanks are paying about $ 1.50 or so

Let me know if you are needing a trailer.. I have aformer student here that has a trailer he is trying to sell. He had astroke and had to give up flying. It is a Wells Cargo 6x12 single axle. it has lots of diamond plating, trailer brakes, lots of shelves etc. It was previously owner by a balloonist and was decked out. Let me know if you are interested and I can find out what he is asking for it

- Hi Dennis.. extra tanks are easy to find.. I would suggest putting a 4th tank in your 4.5... just to give a little more cushion... Firefly has an approved setup... I have put it in lots of baskets... have a great day

- hallsville is about 10 miles north of columbia. basically in between kansas city and st louis, and then about 10 miles north. there is quite a few pilots around here. and they are all nice. we are going to the pershing balloon derby this weekend in north missouri, to crew for a pilot from north missouri. we will probably see steve foltz and his wife there. i was told he was going to help out since he retired. its a good flying festival.
