"Are the pilot lights on your burner completely vertical or at an angle? If they are angled, try angling them a little further up, but not much. And last I knew... (dont hold me to this) everything had a lifetime guarantee, so if that doesnt fix…"

Kasey Schwemmer replied to Eric Wiggins's discussion Chase Vehicles
"Has anyone experimented with putting basket and fan on the same rear platform? I'm sure something could be rigged for front mounting for most vehicles, but if there's enough room on the back (and small enough basket),…"

Kasey Schwemmer replied to JD Anderson's discussion Aerostar Aurora
"I fly an Aurora 54 (also made in 1991, about 130 hrs right now, with two 15 gal tanks) and I love it. Everything thats already been said is pretty spot-on. Sadly, Aerostar no longer produces complete systems, but can still get a fair amount of…"

Kasey Schwemmer replied to JP Quinn's discussion Burn all the way through stand up?
"I fly a little 54 and generally shorter 2-3 second burns are more than sufficient for most inflations. And while I was taught to burn the whole way up, I rarely do unless its breezy or some other circumstance. Half of my training was done…"

About Me:
I'm 23 years old and have been involved in ballooning for about 18 years, since I was 5, earning my private certificate in November 2007. YAY! I also build hot air balloons. Have done a handful of RC models, and have done a single place 32k hopper as well. I'm in the beginning stages of building a 65,000 cu ft balloon, but that project is on hold for now. Ballooning is definately a life-long passion for me.

I also enjoy photography and am an avid video-gamer :) Halo 2 & 3, Reach, MIrror's Edge, Gears of War 1 & 2... good stuff ;)

I'm also really into music. Been a guitar and bass player for the past 11 years playing with a couple different groups and friends. Music is just as important as ballooning to me. Couldn't live without either!!

Happy Flying!

Nice Hopper, I am very jealous. ;-)
I get to occasionally hang around with Adam and he kindly lets me play in his wheelie bin. Hoppers are definitely the most fun.
I think there is a very cool photo of you inflating you balloon in here, unless of course there is another blue wheelie bin hopper getting around.
You'll have to upload some photo's of your RC gear and hopper for us the have a look at.
Cheers Justin

The Colt bottom end is owned by Steven Henschke, it's probably what I have flown most under Adam's envelope. I do heaps of tethers with it and have put hundreds of kids in it. I have done two free flights, one in a pea soup fog and the other landing at about 30kmhr. It's a good rig but I want something a lot simpler and easier to carry around so like the idea of a much more basic hopper bottom end.
Have some video and will put it up at some stage.

You've got some good people shots and at least you've got comments below them so we know whats going on.
Cheers J
