They roared ..."Banzai, Bonzai, Banzaiiiiii..." as we flew over. The commentator was telling them all about the crew from Australia and it went down so well.

Hi Mark,
why did you post that funny link for the blog? Is it not better to post the www.picturethisballooning.blogspot.com link? That'll take them to the blog proper, your link takes you to a downscale version... Can you change it still?
Dammit, Sarah stole my joke. I was just about to make a smart-ass comment in that style as well (so unlike me, I know), but I see she beat me to it.
What's an ape doing on the Monkey???
mark, I canj tell you that it was frustrating, not because of the comp but because of the weather, it was terrible. You are only about 40km from where we were in Bad Waltersdorf, which is still known to this day as bad weathersdorf.
There is a lot of hills and valleys and some of the roads are not so well defined. You will have OziExplorer I assume which will make it much easier to nav with. We didn't have it in 99.
You will have a huge amount of people around with 101 balloons competing so it can be very hard to get to goals and targets from congestion so you may end up some way behind paul if on the ground.
I would make sure you get a good understanding of the map before you go and the technology you will be using. Also try and get an understanding of the rules as it will help you to get a better feel of what is going on around you.
Most important of all, drink! It is Austria after all :)
