Ok, here is my take on it. Sure if you really want to analyze it to death, it does say "God" and yes, it could imply "religion", but I have been involved with balloons now for 13 years, 10 as crew, 3 as pilot and I have yet to have the feeling tha...

Excellent topic. Also from the North East, both mornings and evenings can be quite nice and both can also present their own unique challenges. The plus's with the mornings around here is they are always calm so if you go to the field you are guar...

About Me:
My love for flight started when I was 5 years old and went on my first plane ride. It really wasn't until 1996 when my love for flight focused onto ballooning. We had just moved to the area when my mother, who always loved hot air balloons and is also working on her private rating, looked at my father and I and suggested we go check out the Adirondack Balloon Festival and take a balloon ride, which we did. Once in the air, I was immediately hooked and from that day forward, I dreamed about flying my own balloon.
After spending many years crewing for various pilots, I decided it was time to pursue my private pilot's license, which I successfully obtained on Labor Day, 2008!!

I now look forward to sharing my love for flight with family and friends aboard my own balloon, Friend Ship Too! I also look forward to catching up with the rest of my fellow friends from the Black Sheep Squadron as I work towards my commerical rating.

AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the day would never come. After weeks of bad weather and postponed attempts, high pressure finally returned to the northeast this morning, allowing me to get off the ground and pass the check flight for private pilot! Once the required manuvers were successfully completed in the beginning, the flight became a 1 hour joy ride. Very steerable and very pleasant! It was also an honor to be able to fly along side of my instructor, Russ Barber, who was flying passengers in his own balloon th… Continue

Hiya, Mark!

My plans at the moment put me at the Adirondack event this weekend. The weather does look great - let's hope for no fog and very little wind for all flying areas!

Wow - another new event! It would be great to be there; since they are just getting started they'll need some good photos to represent the rally.

However, I already have plans to be out to the NYSFOB in Dansville that same weekend - it will be my second visit. I saved the URL for the Museum event in my favs. Perhaps I can work it into the circuit next season.

The hyperlink function doesn't seem to work - perhaps copy & paste? Let me know if you still have a problem...

It was great meeting you to. I am glad you enjoyed the event. Wellsville has really become one of my favorite places to fly. It is really neat to fly over the town. The entire community gets into the weekend as you could tell. Congrats on the pole grab win! If you are ever going through the Scranton area give me a call. Would love to fly with you again.
