4/15/2008 First solo. So sad I didn't have my camera. Will be sure to take it out next time and get some pictures to put up.
Check ride 2-11-2009. Passed. I'm a pilot now.

Rosemary said… - I live in Southern California. I am 2 hours north of LA. I'm 45 mins away from Lancaster/Palmdale. Yes we do a lot of crewing out here. I didn't get to crew this weekend at Bear Valley because I did scoring this weekend. I did have a blast at Bear Valley this weekend. In fact I always have fun at Bear Valley. It is such a great even tto go to too. U should try to come to some of the events out here in Cali. Check out our balloon clubs website at www.socalballoons.org

- i am just crew. i have been a crew member for 16 years. i have also been a staff member for events in Bear Valley Springs, Lancaster, Palmdale (our Labor Day Event), Ridgecrest and also Victorville. Hey where u ever a JB(Jr. Balloonist)? I was and I met Jon Radwoski at Fiesta in 04. He and I were JBS the same time. I am also one of the orginal Fiesta Academy Cadets as well and my picture with Steve Fossett is hangng up in Iowa too, but I think it should be hanging up at the museum there in ABQ too because that's where the pic was taken at was at Fiesta too!! - pussy!!! No.... Definately do your CK ride where you're comfortable. On my check ride I landed behind Walmart right next to the humers in squirly ass winds.
