We parked a couple of cars under the goalposts to protect the posts from pilots like Bert who couldn't manage to land on either oval with all that steerage!
Been checking out Aunty Monkey for so long that I thought I'd better join so I can give a bit of cheek now and then.
I'm the original cheapskate balloonist, back in 1990 I bought a $2 raffle ticket at a school fete and won a ride with the local ride operator. Liked it so much I got into Observing and then Debriefing while waiting for a cheap balloon to come my way. Ten years after that first ride I bought the same Cameron N90 demonstrator, I'm still flying it 8 years later but it's getting on a bit now (735 hours) so I built a little 69k for Angus (so he thinks) so I've got something newer to fly.

Hello Scobie!
Thanks for welcome... I'm fine and enjoying some time in Europe now... Europeans, Gordon Bennett, Spanish Nationals and pre-worlds! ;-)
See you around!!
Gabi
Don't know how he ended up with the credit. Anyway, now that you've shown him how to do it, he can build himself one for the Nationals, how's that? If the Nationals don't go ahead this year, he'll have another year at least to build himself one, anyway.
Good luck with getting it on the register properly etc., I imagine there's a bit of paperwork involved in all that?

Can't you get Angus to build you one? Or is he too busy making his own first?

Hey Scobie, yes I wondered what the profile photo was all about. Just be careful, you'll attract types like Justin...
Don't know about Leeton yet, unlikely as we have very little staff, and we're already taking a week out to go to Hamilton. We're taking two balloons, and we're really looking forward to it. Just somehow we're going to have to employ and train a new staff member.
Be careful who you show your passwords to!
