Tony Sandlin is a native Hoosier, born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is well-known around the Circle City for his balloons. Tony, as owner of Midwest Balloon Rides and involved with ballooning for more than 19 years, has been giving residents and visitors to Indiana (and surrounding states) a view and thrill of a lifetime from the sky.
Tony ventured into ballooning through an ad in the Thrifty Nickel, which was offering balloon rides in exchange for working as a crew member. Currently, Tony has two different hot air balloons. Tony’s three boys are all active in ballooning and join their father at the many balloon festivals held throughout the country.
Tony graduated from George Rogers Clark College, where he earned a degree in Business Management. Always an entrepreneur, Tony is a savvy businessman, previously owning several businesses that were sold after startup.
Tony is also active in numerous referral marketing and networking opportunities where he is able to share his business acumen with others and help them grow successful businesses as well. He has been a member of the Givers Gain chapter of BNI Indiana (Business Networking International) since 2004. He also serves as an Assistant Director for four BNI Indiana chapters. Tony has been a member of the Rainmakers networking organization since 2004 and is a 2007 graduate of the Referral Institute. Previously, Tony held the title of President of the Independent Association of Newspaper Distributors of Indiana (1997) and President of the Montgolfier Society of Indiana Balloon Club (2004).
Today, Tony and his wife, Gail live in Fishers, Indiana.
