- I am a brand new pilot, just got my private pilot in december 07. I am obscessed and hope to stay that way for a long time. My wife and 2 kids also love it. I started crewing at a local balloon event about 8 or 9 years ago and the pilot took me up with him that first year ,I've been hooked ever since!

- Yep I will be at the seminar... I will also be at the competition seminar the next day. I will also be at the Ottumwa event, if it's full and you were interested they could always use extra scorers... Hopefully you can make it to some of these. If you want to know bout events or repair stations around Iowa let me know I will be more than happy to pass along any info...

It's about a 3 hour drive, I live between Norwalk and Indianola. There is an event in Ottumwa the weekend of June 27, which is bout an hour an a half from Keokuk. You might want to see if there is still room... contact Dale or Holly Dommer (641) 684-8999, might check soon it fills up pretty fast... have you signed up for a safety seminar yet? The Iowa Balloonist Association seminar is in a couple weeks. It would be a good chance to meet alot of the Iowa pilots... http://iowaballoonist.com/ This has the seminar info....
