About Me:
We got started (just like every other pilot in this area) in ballooning because of the Adirondack Balloon Festival. we attended as children and now as adults we are participants. The Pilot, Rob got his commercial license in 1997, I (as his girlfriend) got dragged along on every flight and started to enjoy ballooning and the people we met. I didn't so much enjoy the mornings, but i got used to them.
Our crew consists very dedicated family and freinds and a few amazing kids (aka nik and bailey). We enjoy going to different festivals and love the times we spend with our "ballooning Family". We enjoy what we do, and couldn't imagine a life without ballooning. We appreciate the fact that we are able to fly and that there are kids that look up to us as balloonists, so we try to set a good example. We take the time to talk them and answer their questions. After all they may be the next pilots in the area!!
For us ballooning is about so much more than the party afterwards , it's about so much more, it's about the flight. It's about our extended balloon family and the time we get to spend with them.
For me personally it's about the time i spend with my family and friends. We would not have been where we are today with out them. They are the BEST crew in this area, no doubt!!! ( that does include our sister balloon Family affair!!! and the Happy camper

This year we have had many fun times, as well as some of the best practical jokes yet. Thank you again, and we look forward to flying as soon as we can.

Heyy, Thanks...I can't wait to fly it, I'm still waiting on the paperwork which should be here sometime next week. Tops pretty porous, but bottom 2/3rds are strong (180hrs tt on the envelope). I plan on recoating it with Barry Diliberos Koala Coating this spring. Using the aurora basket temporarily until I can purchase a bigger basket. You guys plan on keeping your old rally with the 90 or selling it in the future??

I finally left my balloon at home, but I'll only be away from it for 2 weeks. When I get home I plan on flying it to the end of its annual (about 10 more hours). We flew this past Sat., it was 13 degrees and a very awesome flight. I laid my envelope over a few puddles at the airport, but they were frozen solid!

Happy Holidays to you too. Look in the skies tomorrow afternoon...I'll be in them, hoping to land in a driveway or yard and not in a field or other inconvenient landing spot!

I actually ended up flying afterall...great take off spot at Kingswood....only flew for 10 minutes because my new balloon was way too porous and I didn't have great pressure on my tank :( So I landed at the Hogans across the road from Kingswood, SUPER friendly, land there if you can. They made us hot cocoa and cookies! Sooo I can't wait until my balloon is recoated and doesnt lose heat just as fast as it goes in. I might fly next weekend, the snow honestly isnt that bad if it's slow and you land near a driveway.
