I have been around balloons since the age of two. Once old enough, I began crewing, and then officially started pilot training in 1994, received Private in 1998, and Commercial in 2001. Tony, my brother, and I started Endless Mountains Hot Air Balloons, Inc in March of 2003. In 2005 I moved just outside of Philadelphia, the company expanded to fly passengers in both Northeastern and Southeastern PA. I have crewed and flown balloons throughout the United States, including flying the Corn Palace Balloon Club special shapes, the Liberty Bell Special Shape balloon, and with Blue Water Balloons in Orlando, Florida.
I have the flat top. I put it in the trailer at Bert's in December and haven't seen it since! I had a blonde moment about burner orientation - I forgot you have your tanks on one side of the basket and would need to have your burners oriented that way. With my 105 with 5 people in it I never topped 186 degrees last summer. I doubt you will top 200 degrees ever. Our balloons should last a long time. Talk to you later!
Hi Scott, I took delivery of my new basket in December which is the same size as yours. I haven't flown mine yet. I see you have your burners oriented vertically. Can we also mount them horizontally? Thanks for the friend invite. Hope you are enjoying the new balloon - it's beautiful. - Damon
Pass along my sympathy to Stacey. I'm sorry to hear about her loss. I'll talk to you soon. Also, tell her Happy B-day. I know it's hard to have a loved one pass away on or near your birthday. It happened to me 2 years ago. I'm so sorry for her. Rachel wants to call her tomorrow to tell her happy birthday. Take care and know I'm thinking of you both.
