We've just had a wonderful trip to Oz and have had some wonderful ballooning mornings in Cairns. But nothing can beat ballooning in the Magaliesberg . With World Cup coming up South Africa's looking foward to a boom in tourism and we're looking forward to more business. Looking for work over the UK winter

Is anyone out in Aunty Monkey world able to help out!! I am a UK CPL and looking for some work over the winter in some far flung part of the universe. Its taken many many many years, but today Steve finished his exams! Charlie Hines

My ex-husband, Charlie Hines, passed away yesterday. He attended the first Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta and was hooked. After Sid and Tom had all of the fun they could stand organizing the event, the mayor formed the Balloon Fiesta Board of Directors and appointed Charlie as its first president. He served many years as president or Chairman of the Board. He was a guiding light in the development of a fun and exciting Fiesta. He will be missed. Continue

A commercial hot air balloon pilot owned a small country tourist flying business . The Department claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent out to interview him. No grills allowed at Fiesta this year.

Just got bad news the Fire Department is not allowing any sort of cooking on the field this year at balloon fiesta. No BBQ Grills, no electric grills, no cooking at all. The Fiesta Officials could not say why this rule came down but it is a Fire Department one. Not sure what is gonna happen but that will tick alot of folks off and may just cause issues. Thought I should pass this disturbing info on to all of the balloon family. Continue

4oth Anniversary of the First Flight of a Hot Air Balloon in Iredell County, NC

I would like to extend a special inviation for you to attend and/or fly with me to mark the 40th Anniversary of the first flight of a hot-air balloon in Iredell County.
