“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body—but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!"

The Black Sheep have been a group of Pilots who enjoy the sport of ballooning as much as I have! It is rare to find such people around and we have them right in the Upstate NY area. We…

Hi everyone
I have been lucky enough to go on yet another trip, this time to the jewel of the Orient, Singapore. Highlights of the trip were a visit to the famous lion on the waterfront and seeing one of those fancy big balloons on a string that people pay money to go up in. A bit scarey for me.
I also took the opportunity to taste the World famous Singapore Sling cocktail at the equally famous Raffles Hotel. It was a lot of drink for a little penguin and I felt the worse…

Yesterday the weather man was incorrect in his prediction of an inch of rain here in northeast PA .... it turned out to be a beautiful, 70 degree, sunny day (but far, far too windy to fly). This was the first nice weekend day that my dad and I were actually home for, so we took the Avian out to sort out the hose connections and burner system. For the first time we had the uprights and burner connected to the basket. We figured out how all the hoses hooked to the burner and to the tanks and were…

OK, if you live in SE Australia, dust off the kit and get out and do the ballooning thing. It is shaping up to be an outstanding flying weekend wherever you are in the SE.
For all of you northern hemispherers its the start of our season in April and everyone starts to get a bit excited. Hopefully there should be heaps of pics coming online from the weekends exploits.
Go forth and aviate people.
