Saga Airport

I like the Saga airport.

It is very tiny airport, only three flights for Tokyo everyday,

that's why very easy to control my customers.

Also, I like the interior of the airport.

It has an old piano, which was rescued from a dead elementary school.

you can play it till three o'clock.

Ok, I caved to all the pressure...

I just wanted to let CHRIS LIBERTI and everyone else know that I have just completed my transaction to change my travel plans for ABQ. I will now arrive on Friday, October 3rd and leave on Saturday, October 11th. So yes, I will be in attendance at the Aunty Monkey party... waiting for a crown, or some crown...

First inflation of 69k aussie homebuilt, VH-XUP

Last Saturday (9th) we cold/hot inflated our brand new homebuilt balloon, VH-XUP.

Everything went well and now we just need to get the Certificate of Airworthiness so we can start flying it.

Big thanks to not only the guys who helped us out on the morning to attach all the ropes/lines, but those who have been helping out through the whole process, special big thanks to Adam.

Not much more to say really, I will let the photos do the… Continue

St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada

The 25th balloon festival here in St. Jean is under way and so far we are 2 for 3 flights. This is excellent considering that this entire area has had more rain than anyone living here can remember! In the last 2 weeks 12 of 14 days have been rain. You can imagine what that has done for launch and landing fields. Last night saw 12 chase vehicles needing to be towed out of the field before getting on their way to chasing the balloon. Many… Continue

Rally For Codey a HUGE Success!

The weather was ominous with rain and t-storms threatening but the Rally For Codey Benefit went off none the less and was a HUGE success thanks to everyone who not only attended the event but to all of our balloonist friends from around the globe who sent ballooning items for this young boy.

Your support helps to give hope for this family as they deal with this crisis day by day. The smile that Codey had was absolutely PRICELESS! There were stories told, tears shed and laughter all around.… Continue

'08 US Nationals

Well it finally happened, I was able to fly enough tasks in 2007 to qualify for the '08 Nationals. This should have happened 15 years ago, but I put my career (ballooning) in front of competition ballooning. I know I know, I don't know what I was thinking, but I have finally got my priorities straight. I find it amusing that I am a "rookie", I have only had my license half my life, flown in 5 countries and accumulated 2500hrs. But I am a rookie when it comes to national competition, I have… Continue
