If you click on the photo and get the larger image it is just about possible to read Goodyear on the side of the airship whose shadow is at the bottom of the multi-storey car park (not visible in the smaller image). There, now what can I do with 20 points - no rude answers please!

It's the red holden airship, the one with the big LCD screen on it.

Who can work out how high it is by its shadow??

1186.092 feet.

Worked out the length of the shadow of the Rialto building that is 253 metres tall. That gave the angle of the sun, so based on the angle of the sun and the distance of the shadow of the airship from the airship itself, you can work out the height.

Come on... give us a real challenge

haha, nice one!!

That is cool, I was too lazy to work it out. Had enough maths this week.

A challenge?? Maybe someone could explain to me why the satellite thinks its white, glare/shine or something??

I think it is because the sun is pretty low, andit is an intense summer day. So the light is bouncing off the curved surface. There are a features other curved surfaces around the image showing similar glare (e.g. Myer Music Bowl)
