Well I've been fairly sheltered as far as balloon events go.
Pretty much I have only been to the Australian balloon events.
This is my first oversea's balloon event and to say I have been blown away is an understatement.
From the pre event organisation and shipping to the full blown event it's been excellent.
I've almost had as much flying as I can take which is always a plus.
I'm not sure what I like the most, from a pre event flight with an excellent local pilot and her grandfather, to the incredibly well run night glow. The food has been fantastic and I'll be hitting the gym to burn off all that goodness.
The locals are damn awesome az bro, a nicer bunch of people you couldn't hope to meet. I have had help fixing the model balloon and loans of multiple tanks and bits and pieces as required. I thank you all.
So much to do too, pre dawn flights, no flight events "the trailer backing was hilarious", lake dips, afternoon at the schools. All just excellent.
One more awesome morning to go. It's going to be a pity when it's over as I haven't had time to meet and say hello to every one.
Balloons over Waikato - Awesome Az Bro.
