Alright Leviners and Leetoners it's a photographic battle to the death across the ditch.
So if your going to Lift off Levin, North island, New Zealand take the best photo's and/or video you can and post them up here for us all to peruse.
If you going to Lift Off Leeton (yes I know I stole the name but lets move on shall we) New South Wales, Australia also take the best photo/video and post up on Aunty monkey again for us to peruse.
Lets have some fun while were at it too. ;-)
Absolutely zero dollars in prise money is available although if your in Leeton I might share some Wild Turkey American Honey with you ;-)
Don't know about Levin but the weather for Leeton is looking spectacular.
A Ballooned Az Bro production
Nope, going to use capital chemist.
Mind you I'd still go to Leeton without a balloon any way. ;-)

Comment by Michael Toulson on April 29, 2011 at 4:06pm Great weekend in Leeton too Graham, thanks for the link I'll check out the photo's.
Been doing Leeton for years and would love to try out Levin. The lake looks awesome and I have to admit the bowling looks like great fun.
The one thing that makes Leeton so good is that most people camp or stay in an on site cabin in the Leeton caravan park. This alone to me makes it a great event. You get to meet lots of baloonists you've never met and sit around all day just talking ballooning and looking in other people baskets. We did a hang glider drop over the weekend but spent the first night discussing tactics of how to achieve it. With that much knowledge just hanging around we had it all sorted and it ended up being very easy.
Another great thing about camping at the caravan park is the next generation of balloonists all get to run around/ ride around and have easter egg hunts. Their all between 0 and 6 years of age but it does seem that ballooning is something that gets passed down more often than not.
