Gretta Menzies and I have organised to travel to Temora for the long weekend. We are both taking a balloon each and would like to open the invite to anyone else who might be looking to do some flying that weekend (about 3 weeks away).
There is a 'powered' camping ground at the aerodrome and a variety of accommodation available in and around the town. I have spoken to the local council and they are happy to have us in town at the same time as the Museum Flying Weekend We also have some ovals lined up in town if we need them.
Alan Harding will be there with his old plane and has flown balloons around Temora in the past and knows the area well. So it may be helpful to have him for advice on certain wind directions etc. We will be shooting for morning and afternoon flights and will meet at eh aerodrome and make a decision on flying from there. The exact location we will determine when we get there on Friday afternoon.
So if you're interested of have any questions please feel free to contact me. It would be awesome to have a more balloons joining us so the more the merrier.
The Temora Aviation Museum opens itself up a few times throughout the year, the pilots get the old planes out to clear out the cob webs and keep them in running order. For more information check out the website below.
