Thanks for stopping by, Mark. It was my first visit to this event, and I hope to return in the future!

Thanks for posting such a nice video......for a town of only 1800 people they are able to put on quite a great weekend of funfilled activites for all ages.

It is too bad too because I definitely think from a spectators point of view, the show is always much better in the morning than in the evenings when balloons launch together in slow motion due to the calm winds. Evenings, you can get lucky and see a nice launch if the winds calm but we all know that most often, the winds are strong such that depending on the pilot's comfort level, you get balloons launching at different times (if at all) and unless they go high, the fast winds carry them quickly out of view, often as the next balloon launches to join the first.

Greetings, Mark;
As someone who spends the "season" attending festivals and such, what you say is often the case - probably why in most cases I prefer morning launches - though a glow once or twice a season is nice...

There was actually a lot of people to attend the event, probably the most I've seen in the 5 or 6 years I've been going to it. Most of the people go to the evening events, I would say close to a thousand, if not more. The moonglow always seems to draw a big crowd as well.
The mornings however, always seems to be poorly attended, maybe 150 Saturday hundred and 100 Sunday. The biggest complaint I heard among the locals is the 5:30 launch time.......too early for most out there (the one down side to our great sport). Most of the time, they are just coming out to enjoy their morning coffee as we are landing.

Sorry Nikolas - I grabbed a couple of shots that didn't turn out. I'll keep an eye out for you at other events!
