It took 11 months and 14 days but we are back in the house. It looks really nice. Almost exactly as it was before with a few minor door placement changes and a bigger master closet. We could not figure out a way to move the master bedroom from over the garage to the other side of the houe, so that stayed the same. Now we are working on landscaping and trying to get new grass to grow during a drought.
I am developing a hints and tips list of things people need to be aware of when gettin…

It has been a long 9 months. After the fire, the first thing is to deal with insurance and find a place to live. We are renting a house right down the street from where we lived. It worked out great. The insurance pays for loss of use so the rent is paid as we continue to pay for the mortgage.
Here are a couple of frustrating things about insurance and what we went through.
Even though you have replacement cost, you do "Up to a limit". Your policy has limits. Our content limit w…

Yeah, there's a guy who says he's in Raleigh, NC who's ordered a new cloudhopper. Wrote to ask me some questions. I'm not sure on my plans yet. Hope to get at least as far as Charlottesville over the holidays. Also thinking of going down to see the balloonworks sometime soon. I'll have to wait and see on Raleigh. You may want to "help" this guy out, if he turns out to be nice.

Heard from a fella that read my review and ordered a cloudhopper. Just learned to fly at a school. Guess where he lives? Sounds like Rally.....

Careful what you offer. I just might wander down that way. Spent the last 2 Christmas's at my brothers in Charlottesville, Virginia. On Christmas Eve we flew 3 cloudhoppers together. Lots of fun and 3 lucky families had giant ornaments land on their lawns.
Hows things going? Have you visited any rallys lately? Youve been in my prayers..
God loves you and wont ever let you down!

He works all things for the good of the person who loves Him and is called according to His purpose.
Wow! What a year! I'll take a hurricane over a fire anyday. Glad to see you can also see the good things that are out there. Good luck with the building. It is actually nice sometimes and just wait until you can move into your brand new house. That will be a blessing!
What you described sounds like the Stampede Balloon Race we used to have here. The event stopped in mid 90's as the city was simply to big to fly over with any chance of landing in the country and the sponsorship was no longer available. The commercial guys are really having a hard time flying over the city now. There is still a lot of flying going on but it's out in the country, usually east of town.
