I'm a student at Indiana State University studying Professional Aviation Flight Technology and Aerospace Administration. I just start a Balloon group Fall of 2007, HABISU. It has gone over very well, with over 20 members. The second largest in the department so far. I grew up in South Bend, IN and later moved 2 towns over to a little place called Osceola, IN. I've been involved with ballooning since I've been born. My Grandparents crew for a guy named Rocky Papendria (spelling) who owned a buisness Fire Dragon Balloons. He retired from the buisness when I was 12 and I did not pick up on ballooning until I met my good Friends Paul Quandee and Harry Goertz. I chased Paul's 1st Cherry Bomb Balloon down on my bicycle when I was 16. The next week he called me up on my birthday and I got my first balloon flight. 5 years later I now have my own balloon that I absolutly Love and fly. I'm currently working on my Commercial airplane S/E Land License as well as seaplane, tailwheel, aerobatic, and commercial balloon. I have 210 hours in the airplane and 30 hours currently in the balloon as of this January '08, and am inspired to continue flying! I was invited to the Carson City Michigan Balloon Festival June 6-8 and will participate as a second pilot for Paul Q. this August at the National Balloon Classic in Indianola, IA. Also on the Itinerary is a small balloon festival March 28-30, 2008 my group and I are attempting to put togeaher as well as a one day event on June 2nd that Andy Richardson has put togeather in Lawrenceville, IL. Fun Stuff! Thanks for reading my flight history, hope it was interesting!
I am putting a video together with all sorts of ballooning pics and video and I was wondering if I could use your pics/vids in it? It is all just for fun and would be posted here whenever it is done.
