About Me:
Hello, my name is Ben and I am an Fine Arts teacher in Canton, Ohio. I am a recent graduate of Kent State University and I have been involved in ballooning since the 1999, but have had an interest in ballooning ever since seeing my first balloon flight at the age of two. My other interests include snow skiing, singing, running and riding 4-wheelers.

I received my Private Pilots rating for Balloons in August of 2007 and have tried to fly as often as I could since that time. When I am not piloting a Avian Falcon II, 60,000cu ft. sport balloon, I work as crew chief for the balloon company Heaven Bound Ascensions which provides paid rides in the Northeast Ohio area. Since 2003, I have accumulated over 500 hrs of crewing time (wish I had that many PIC hours, but one step at a time).
For the upcoming year of 2008, I hope to accumulate more PIC hours as well as participate in at least 3 balloon festivals.

Well, I have a picture of it as it is deflating...I just haven't scanned it in yet. Probably next week as I am off to Virginia tomorrow. It has been VERY slow progress. Every time we have the time free from festivals and work and try to go out and inflate it has been nothing but thunderstorms. The FAA has sent the paperwork back AGAIN, wanting more stuff...why they just didn't tell me all up front, who knows... I am looking for pictures of how the pop top goes together. Can you send me some of you putting yours together? It will save a lot of frustration once the weather cooperates. I imagine this weekend will be perfect... because I am going to be away!

Hi Ben. ACTUALLY... perhaps you can help... as you probably already know the Avian manual has not one picture of how the balloon gets put together... do you have good pictures of the connections to the basket, of the burner (no flame, and pilot light) or anything else you think may be useful for me in trying to get this balloon in the air?
