About Me:
I've been ballooning for nearly 2 years (just a grasshopper really). Got my PPL about 6 months ago and am well and truly a balloon tragic!

I'm now studying for my CPL exams, Most passengers say I look too young (and female :) to be driving a Troopie when crewing, so I'm looking forward to their reaction in a years time when they realise I am their pilot for the morning!

My First Air Chair flight

This morning I went for my first flight in an Air Chair.....I didn't think anything could top my flying experiences so far but this has gone straight to the top! We had a perfect morning with light winds taking us straight past Petworth House/park and over the town square of Petworth. It awesome to fly low over and drop right down into a pine forest, brushing past the tree tops, and the smell was amazing! Can't wait to go again! (I don't know how to add pictures here so see my page for pics of t… Continue

New Website!

Hi to all Aunty Monkeyers! We have just had our new website completed for Balloon Aloft Sydney and it is now up and running on the web. As with all new sites we have a number of things that are still "works in progress" however we are really happy with the final result and would appreciate any feedback (positive and negative!) to help us improve so that our customer experience is a positive one :) Hope you enjoy having a look! Not sure why it's taken so long....

I've been lurking in the shadows and checking in on AM regularly but haven't made the leap to becoming a member. When I had to choose between cleaning the house or sigining up to Aunty Monkey, the task became so much easier....YAY! I love ballooning :)

Hello Nicola,

Thanks, It has been a long time coming and I didn't think I was going to make it this time either with the weather the way it was. Still think it is sinking in! Hoping to go flying in a couple of weeks, which should make it very very real! no one about looking over my shoulder.

Hi Nic, the grey balloon on my pics is a smoke balloon, its only about 25ft tall and is pegged to the ground with a fire lit inside, when the dude judges it to have enough lift he hooks himself on with an old cargo parachute and cuts the rope rides it up to about 2000ft and cuts loose,he is the only person left who does this and is in his sixties, when i am back in the uk ill show you the rest of the pics, hope your no longer feeling crook,

Hey! Good you got your pics back! It was amazing, the bloody thing flew really well, very stable and slow decent! He cut away at 1500feet and landed on a conventional chute but we picked up the Veranzio chute and it is in perfect condition and could be used again! It was an amazing flight, I will bring in the pics and vid to show you soon!
